Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about the Trauma Screening.

How long does the Trauma Screening take?

About 6 minutes on average. The test has 24 statements you rate on a scale, and most people complete it in 5–8 minutes.

What does the Trauma Screening measure?

It is based on the PCL framework — intrusion, avoidance, negative changes in mood and beliefs, and hyperarousal. Your responses produce a severity band with guidance, including which therapies have the strongest evidence.

Is my data private?

Yes. Your responses are processed in your browser. We don't sell personal data and our practices comply with GDPR and CCPA. You can request export or deletion at any time.

Can I retake the Trauma Screening?

Yes — as often as you like. We recommend waiting at least 30 days between retakes for a meaningful comparison, since short-term mood and life events can shift your responses.

Is this a clinical diagnosis?

No. This is a self-screening tool, not a clinical diagnosis. If you're concerned about your mental health, please consult a qualified mental-health professional.
